"Hogan Hardwoods & Moulding Concludes
First Decade.” |
|
Founded 10 years ago by then 23 year old David Hogan, Hogan
Hardwoods & Moulding of Ruston, La has grown into the south’s |
|
leading distributor of hardwoods and architectural building
materials. Currently Hogan has 8 distribution yards that
deliver to 13 states, 2 retail building material yards, a kiln
drying facility, and a state of the art |
|
manufacturing facility that ships
hardwood mouldings nationwide. Hogan’s wholesale
distribution customer base consists of custom cabinet shops,
commercial millwork companies, and retail lumber yards. |
|
David got his introduction into the wood business working in
sales for a Canadian melamine manufacturer that had a plant in
Ruston. David was selling melamine to wholesale distributors,
and liked what he saw in the possibilities of distribution. He
decided that North Louisiana was in need of a local hardwood
distributor, and Hogan Hardwoods & Moulding was founded in
August of 1993 with friend and melamine sales coworker Clay Hipp.
Soon the vision was much larger than North Louisiana. |
|
The
initial location was a 2500sqft facility that had offices in
front, a small warehouse in back, with the extra space being
rented out as storage units to help generate extra revenue for
the small business. With minimal cash flow, and limited
experience there were many obstacles for Hogan Hardwoods &
Moulding. But Hogan’s passion and vision would not be denied.
|
|
Today, Hogan’s vision and passion are as clear and strong as in
1993 . As you will often hear David say, “The key to our
company’s success is the people, people, people.” Hogan’s
company culture is one of hard work, honesty, and
responsibility. Hogan Hardwoods & Moulding has chased the
customer’s needs not the sale. This philosophy has resulted in
a rapidly expanding product mix, service area, and operating
procedures to better serve the customers. Hogan’s passion to be
the best hardwood distributor in the country is carried out by
the entire 300+ employee base. Concluding a remarkable decade,
Hogan Hardwoods & Moulding still simply offers Hard Work,
Service, and Quality. |
